Heidi Leyton: Hi, I am Heidi, I think Berlin is a amazing city and I would love to show you around. It caused quite the stir in my family when I first chose to move to Berlin, (my grandmother having fled Austria in 1938), but it has been a fascinating experience. I think Berlin is one of the most interesting cities in the world and I have traveled extensively. It is not that it is the most beautiful city, although it does have some lovely parts. It is not a city to look at, it is a city to understand. It is the history that has created it’s unique atmosphere. The scars that are left from the Second World War and the Holocaust are heart breaking. How this society has come to terms with its past and deals with its present is at the heart of what I would like to show you. The city has so much to offer, from world famous sites to hidden treasures and over 150 museums. It would be my pleasure to bring it all together (with lots of old photos!) and help you make the most of your time here.
