Details: Lamassu machine at Cafe Schoffel in Zurich, owned and operated by Rolf Leuenberger and Emanuel Muessli. The cafe itslef also accepts bitcoins as payment option.

From 08th June 2014 the Lamassu Bitcoin machine is operating only in paper-wallet mode, means you can not buy bitcoins to existing address in order to exclude case of sending bitcoins to third party (AML request from FINMA).

After Bitcoin Suisse approval by FINMA this Bitcoin ATM is run under their brand and has legal protection. The ATM is made fully functional, means you can use your existing Bitcoin address for buying bitcoins.

In August 2015 new regulatory provisions from FINMA don't allow to operate bitcoin ATMs which can not print receipts and private keys for the purchased bitcoins without money transmission license. As a result this Lamassu unit was removed from this location.

However, a two-way bitcoin ATM, which was previously located at Al posto giusto Bistro at Horneggstrasse 5 was moved to Cafe Schoffel. So now users can also sell bitcoins at this location.

When you buy bitcoins this machine prints paper wallet, which you can import with every Bitcoin wallet on your phone.
